Nick Schwandner is an Associate Attorney in the Baltimore office of Harrison Law Group.
Nick represents contractors on both private and public construction projects with a focus on disputes over payment and defective work. He has litigated bond claims, mechanic’s liens, and breach of contract claims arising from change orders, delay, acceleration, loss of productivity, differing site conditions, interpretation of specifications, and default/convenience terminations.
He has litigated multimillion-dollar defective work and warranty claims related to HVAC, plumbing, windows, drywall, fireproofing, masonry and other cladding types, waterproofing, framing, and roofing. Nick has also represented contractors in claims against performance bond sureties and defended contractors against surety indemnity actions.
Nick is a member of the Associated Builders and Contractors, American Subcontractors Association, and MSBA Construction Law Section. He was named a “Rising Star” in construction litigation by Maryland Super Lawyers for 2017 and 2018.
Nick graduated with honors from the University of Cincinnati College of Law. During law school he was a law review member and extern for Justice Evelyn Lundberg Stratton of the Ohio Supreme Court.
