Adam C. Harrison is the President and Founder of Harrison Law Group and a partner in Harrison Law Group's Baltimore office.
Since starting the firm, Adam has represented owners, general contractors, subcontractors, and sureties on issues involving acceleration, impact and delay claims, actual and constructive suspensions of work, terminations for default and convenience, change order, extra work and force account disputes, latent defect, workmanship and warranty claims, requests for equitable adjustments, payment and performance bond claims, mechanics’ liens, insurance claims and disputes, Davis-Bacon and prevailing wage law disputes, prompt payment and conditional payment disputes, defective, incomplete or conflicting specifications, differing site conditions, construction and design defects, licensing and disciplinary actions, and bid protests, among other legal issues.
Adam has been involved as legal counsel in a variety of construction projects including hospitals, airports, oil/gas refineries and power plants, colleges and universities, public and private schools, post offices, courthouses, police and fire stations, mass transportation, commercial distribution warehouses, stadiums, high-rise hotels and resorts, waste treatment facilities, multi-family housing, convention centers, commercial office buildings, retail complexes, residential and commercial swimming pools, restaurants, recreation and entertainment centers, department stores, highways, military installations and federal/state government projects, fiber optic and underground utility networks, golf courses, correctional facilities, movie theaters, and parking garages.

Adam received his B.A. from the University of Maryland, College Park, in 1988. He attended law school at the University of Baltimore School of Law and received his law degree in 1991. After law school, he was an associate attorney in the surety law practice section of Whiteford, Taylor & Preston, L.L.C. in Baltimore, Maryland from 1991 until 1994. In November 1994, Adam started the law offices of Adam C. Harrison, P.C., now known as Harrison Law Group, where he built an emerging law practice focusing on the field of construction and surety law.
Adam is active in the field of construction and surety law and is a member of the Maryland, District of Columbia and New York state bars, as well as the United States District Court for the Districts of Maryland, District of Columbia, and New York, and the United States Court of Federal Claims.
Adam is an active member in the Maryland State Bar Association and the American Bar Association (including membership in the Torts and Insurance Practice Section and Forum on the Construction Industry), Associated Builders and Contractors (Metropolitan Baltimore, Metropolitan District of Columbia, Eastern Shore and Chesapeake Chapters), American Subcontractors Association of Baltimore, D.C. Metropolitan Subcontractors Association, Associated General Contractors of America (Maryland and Metropolitan District of Columbia Chapters), and The Building Congress & Exchange of Metropolitan Baltimore.
Adam is a frequent lecturer on conflict resolution, delay claims, and construction and government contract matters to various professional industry groups and trade associations.
Adam's publications include frequent articles in the firm's independently published newsletter, HLG Constructor Bulletin, as well as an ongoing author and contributor to the firm's media series on the firm's website.
Adam is married and has a son and daughter.
