Attorney Eli Robbins to Speak at Upcoming Seminar on Construction Law

Harrison Law Group’s own Eli Robbins, Esq. will be presenting at the “Construction Law” seminar presented by HalfMoon Education, Inc. on Wednesday, February 5th, 2014.  Targeted towards architects, professional engineers and contractors, the seminar will educate attendees on various aspects of construction contracts.  Other knowledgeable professionals in the field of construction law will be presenting as well.

Eli’s presentation is titled “Principles, Procedures, Perils, and Pitfalls of Construction Contract Terminations” and will concentrate on the following:

Terminations for cause –

  • Determination of when cause to terminate exists
  • Contractual language
  • Common law principles

Terminations for convenience –

  • Contractual provisions (Public and private projects)
  • Judicial construction of termination for convenience provisions

  • Rights of surety
